G Stalin becomes DCP, Law & Order & K Gunasekaran DCP, Headquarters, Coimbatore Police


On July 13, G Stalin assumed his charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of Law and Order and K Gunasekaran assumed office as DCP Headquarters of Coimbatore city police.

DCP Stalin, post receiving the charge said, more focus would be laid on utilising police force for the effective management of COVID-19 on a par with law and order management. Stalin earlier held the post of Superintendent of Police (SP) of Civil Supplies CID, Madurai. He replaced L Balaji Saravanan who has been posted as SP, Pudukottai district.

However, prior to transfer orders, Gunasekaran was serving as SP of Prohibition and Enforcement wing, Tiruppur. He replaced S Selvakumar who has now been posted as DCP, Headquarters, Tiruppur city.
