Sukhdeo Singh appointed as the CS of Jharkhand

Amidst a minor bureaucratic rejig in the State of Jharkhand, Sukhdeo Singh, a 1987-Batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Chief Secretary (CS) to the state government. Prior to the transfer orders, Singh was posted as Development Commissioner with the additional charge of Additional CS to the Department of Home, Prisons and Disaster Management and Commercial Taxes.

Also, Singh held the position of Managing Director (MD) of Greater Ranchi Development Agency (GRDA).  As per the transfer orders, the posting will be effective from April 01, 2020, when incumbent Chief Secretary Dr DK Tiwari will retire from his post.

Moreover, the state has also transferred and posted Rajeev Arun Ekka (1994-Batch) as the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister.
