Uttar Pradesh Bureaucracy Reshuffle: 3 officers transferred in minor rejig

Uttar Pradesh government led by Yogi Adityanath has reshuffled three IAS officers across the state.

Prashant Sharma, (2012-Batch) who was serving as the District Magistrate, Lucknow has been relieved from the post. The order comes a day after he was caught on camera dragging Sunil Singh, a PCS trainee and brother of deceased Vijay Kumar Singh, a BJP worker. As per an official order issued by the Uttar Pradesh government, Sharma has been put on waitlist.

Sharma will be replaced by Arun Kumar, (2012-Batch) currently Vice-Chairman, Moradabad Development Authority, Moradabad. Whereas Rakesh Kumar Singh, (2010-Batch) currently District Magistrate, Moradabad has been given additional charge as Vice-Chairman, Moradabad Development Authority, Moradabad.
