Pune Smart City: Rubal Agarwal takes charge as CEO

Rubal Prakher Agarwal, additional municipal commissioner of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has taken over as the chief executive officer (CEO) of the Pune Smart City Development Corporation Limited (PSCDCL). Agarwal will be replacing Rajendra Jagtap, who held the charge since June 2017 till November 14, 2019.

Agarwal, a Maharashtra-cadre IAS officer of 2008 batch, has served across various cities of the state. She was posted as additional municipal commissioner of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) in December 2018, prior to which she held the post of CEO, Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi at Ahmednagar District.

On assuming charge, Agarwal informed the public that Pune Smart City projects have got a positive response from the Aundh-Baner-Balewadi area. She also hoped for active participation by the citizens and support to other such Smart City projects.

Pune Smart City Development Corporation Limited (PSCDCL) was formed on 23rd March 2016 as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) under the Smart Cities Mission for implementation of Smart City Projects in Pune.
