Prakash Javadekar additional charge Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises

The President of India, as advised by the Prime Minister has given additional charge of  Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises to Prakash Javadekar, Cabinet Minister.


Currently he is Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change & Information and Broadcasting. Previously, he has held the positions as Union Minister of Human Resource Development contributing hugely towards development of various educational systems in the country.

Javadekar played an instrumental role in the party’s youth wing – Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, served as state party Secretary, elected twice to Maharashtra Legislative Council, later to Rajya Sabha.

He holds a Bachelor in Commerce from University of Pune.
