
Radhe Krishna Mathur has been named the first Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, which attained the status of Union Territory on Thursday.
Mathur, a retired IAS officer of 1977-Batch of Tripura cadre held the post of Chief Information Commissioner in India in 2018, the year of his retirement. He had served this post for three years.
He has also served as Defence Secretary at the Centre. The other posts held by Mathur include Tripura Chief Secretary, Union Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Secretary and Defence Production Secretary.

An alumnus of IIT Kanpur, Mathur has pursued MBA from International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE), Slovenia.
