Senior bureaucrats transferred under Central reshuffle

Senior bureaucrats transferred

As part of the bureaucratic rejig effected by the government, several senior bureaucrats have been transferred on Tuesday. The orders were issued a couple of days prior to the General Elections 2019.

Gargi Kaul, a 1984-Batch Indian Audit & Accounts Service (IAAS) officer has been appointed as Secretary, Defence Finance. Kaul is at present the Financial Advisor (Defence Services), Ministry of Defence.

Sumeet Jerath, 1985-Batch IAS officer of the Assam-Meghalaya (AM) cadre has been appointed as Special Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat. He is the Special Secretary and Financial Advisor, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

Raj Kumar Goyal, 1990-Batch officer of Jammu & Kashmir cadre has taken over Jerath as the MEA Financial Advisor.

Prem Kumar Kataria has been appointed as the Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles. Kataria is an IA&AS officer of the 1985-Batch.

Anil Kumar Jha, 1988-Batch IAS officer from Karnataka cadre has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Revenue.

SKG Rahate, 1990-Batch IAS officer has been appointed as the Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power. At present, he is serving in his cadre state Jharkhand.

Rajesh Kumar Chaturvedi, the IAS officer of 1987-Batch is appointed as the Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Culture. The Madhya Pradesh cadre officer was the Member (Admin), National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

Amitabh Kumar (1987-Batch IRS), Additional Director General (Shipping) has been promoted as Director General (Shipping) at the Ministry of Shipping.

Apart from these appointments and transfers, several officers in joint secretary and additional secretary levels have also been a part of the bureaucratic reshuffle.
