As part of a recent bureaucratic reshuffle under Ashok Gehlot government, IAS officer Subir Kumar has been given additional charge of Rajasthan Housing Board’s Commissioner.
The 1998-batch Rajasthan cadre IAS officer is presently the Managing Director, Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation. He has previously served as Divisional Commissioner of Bharatpur and Bikaner.

In 2012, Kumar was the Collector and District Magistrate of Hanumangarh. He also served Tonk, Dungarpur and Barmer districts in similar capacity.

Kumar, a Mechanical Engineer from Patna, had commenced his career as Sub Divisional Officer at Pratapgarh.
