KT Rama Rao appointed TRS working president

K T Rama Rao A day after K Chandrasekhar Rao, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president, was sworn-in as the chief minister of the State for a second term, senior party leader K T Rama Rao was appointed the party’s Working President on Friday.


K T Rama Rao has held no party position earlier. But the dynamic leader was IT, municipal administration and industries minister in the previous KCR government.

In the recently held State assembly elections, K T Rama Rao emerged triumphant from Sircilla segment, defeating nearest Congress rival K K Mahender Reddy by a margin of 88,000 votes in the recently held State Assembly elections.

His father K Chandrasekhar Rao, who led his party to the impressive performance in the polls, won his Gajwel seat by more than 51,000 votes over his nearest Congress rival V Pratap Reddy.
