The Government of Rajasthan has been constantly trying to transform the State to develop it into Digi-Sthan of India. In the process, the Government has undertaken several unique and bold steps to reduce paperwork and lengthy processes to minimal, writes Elets News Network (ENN).
The Vasundhara Raje-led Government has launched Raj eVault and Raj eSign that are taking Rajasthan to the next level of digitalisation. Raj eVault is nothing but a Digital Document Manager. It is a portal dedicated to provide digital verification platform for official documents and certificates. It reduces the need of indulging in tedious paperwork. Thanks to eVault facility, all types of documents and certificates ranging from driving license to university mark sheets can be uploaded in it . Moreover, citizens can access their documents anytime and from anywhere by just logging into their eVault account.
Apart from availing these paperless benefits associated with eVault, citizens get the additional facility of eSign. All the documents can be very easily signed using eSign. It is a convenient way to digitally verify citizens’ documents.
Primary objective: Secure and authorised e-space with electronic self-attestation and e-verification. Main features:
- Individual, family, governmental and organisational secure e-space to residents and organisations, enabling them to store documents along with metadata for validations
- Safe document storage, sharing, e-sign and approval protocol to avoid the requirement of seeking copies of documents
- Documents getting generated through departmental applications can directly be sent to respective eVault for storage and future use
- Service delivery through all government departments centrally in a paperless fashion
- Mobile app available too
