Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar administered the oath of office and secrecy to newly appointed Member of Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC) Debashish Majumdar on Tuesday.
Prior to his appointment as Member HERC, Majumdar served as Chairman and Managing Director, Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA). He relinquished this charge on February 28, 2014 after attaining the age of superannuation.
An Electrical Engineering graduate from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, he has also rendered his services as General Manager (solar energy) in IREDA, General Manager (SPV), Renewable Energy Systems Limited and Engineer Trainee to Deputy Manager Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited.
Those present on this occasion included Chairman HERC Jagjit Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Power Rajan Gupta, Principal Secretary Power Vineet Garg, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rakesh Gupta, Director Information, Public Relations and Languages Department Sameer Pal Srow and other senior officers of the Power Department.
