The formal inauguration was done by U.D. Choubey, Director General, SCOPE.

SCOPE is an apex professional organisation representing the Union government’s public enterprises. It also has some state enterprises, banks and other institutions as its members.

The Rooftop Solar Power Plant consists of installations on two different buildings. The project is one of the most complex rooftop installations executed by Fourth Partner Energy.

“We are committed to bring down our energy consumption substantially. This investment furthers SCOPE’s efforts to align with government’s renewable energy goals. We are proud to partner with Fourth Partner Energy for our solar power needs.” said U.D.Choubey, Director General, SCOPE.

During the last four years, SCOPE has made focussed efforts to reduce its energy bill and this resulted in significant energy savings.

“SCOPE Complex is one of the most prestigious projects and we are pleased to have commissioned this project which is in line with our highest quality standards and engineering capabilities,” said Srinivasa Reddy, Head of Operations, R&D, and Product development, Fourth Partner Energy. “Solar rooftop installations not only help corporates save on cost of power but also support them to become active participants in reducing their carbon footprint,” he added.

Fourth Partner Energy estimates that the project will offset more than 117,000 kgs of CO2 over the next 25 years. That is the equivalent to planting 5,200 trees. As compared to a coal-fired plant, 218,000 litres of water will be saved.
