In a major administrative reshuffle, the Uttar Pradesh Government has transferred 67 IAS officers, including 29 district magistrates.
Those transferred include Bulandshahr District Magistrate B Chandrakala, who has been sent to Bijnore in the same capacity, Lakhimpur Kheri District Magistrate Kinjal Singh, who has been sent to Faizabad, and Lakhimpur Kheri Chief Development Officer Nitish Kumar has been appointed as District Magistrate of Shravasti.
Other districts, which have got new District Magistrates include Muzaffarnagar, Sitapur, Mainpuri, Amethi, Gonda, Chitrakoot, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Chandauli, Sonbhadra, Hardoi, Hamirpur, Maharajganj, Sidharthanagar, Mahoba, Banda, Shamli, Hathras, Jalaun, Kushinagar, Ghazipur, Bagpat, Farrukhabad and Ballia.
Among senior officers, while Principal Secretary, Minor Irrigation, Prabhat Kumar has been made Resident Commissioner of UP in Delhi, Principal Secretary (Women Welfare) Renuka Kumar has been given his charge.
Besides, two divisions have got new Commissioners: while Ranjan Kumar has been made Commissioner of Mirzapur division, Vijay Bahadur Singh has been made the Commissioner of Devipatan division.
In another significant move, Director Information & Additional CEO – UP Expressway Authority, Ashutosh Niranjan, will be the new District Magistrate of Gonda, replacing Ajay Kumar Upadhyay, who has been made Secretary Rural Development. Rampur Chief Development Officer (CDO) Amit Kishore will be the new Director Information.
Similarly, Saharanpur CDO Monika Rani will be the new DM of Chitrakoot, replacing Neelam Ahlawat, who has been posted as Secretary – Agriculture Production. Shahjanapur DM Shubhra Saxena will be the new DM of Bulandshahr.
Vice Chairman of the Varanasi Development Authority Dinesh Kumar Singh has been posted as the new Muzaffarnagar DM, while Lakhimpur Kheri DM Kinjal Singh will be the new DM of Faizabad.
Amethi DM Jagatraj will be new Special Secretary – Energy, while Special Secretary – Agriculture Production Chandra Kant Pandey will replace Jagatraj as DM Amethi. Mainpuri DM Chandrapal Singh has been transferred to the Agriculture Department as Special Secretary, while the Managing Director – UP SC/ST Finance Development Corporation Rajendra Pratap Singh will be new DM of Mainpuri.
Meanwhile, Sitapur DM Indraveer Singh Yadav has been put on wait list, while Non Conventional Energy Development Authority (NEDA) Director Amrit Tripathi has been transferred as DM Sitapur.
