Additional charge for A K Angurana

ministry-consumer-affairs-food-public-distributionOne of the senior bureaucrats, Ashok Kumar Angurana, a 1980 batch IAS officer of Jammu and Kashmir cadre, has been given an additional charge of Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs. He has been appointed for a period of three months.


At present, he is Secretary of the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries.
In his earlier stint, he was Secretary to the Ministry of Panchayati Raj.

Ashok will be taking charge in place of K N Desiraju, a 1978 batch IAS officer of UK cadre and incumbent Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, who will retire on May 31, 2015.
