BPSCAlok Kumar Sinha, a 1979-batch IAS officer has been appointed by the State Government as the new chairman of Bihar Public Service Commission.

Incidentally, the State Government also accepted his application for voluntary retirement. He was earlier serving as the Principal Advisor, Bihar State Planning Board. Formerly, KC Saha held this post since November 16, 2011.

Sinha who is 59 years old, held several key posts in Bihar, comprising that of Development Commissioner and Principal Secretary in agriculture, disaster management, industries, excise and prohibition and sugarcane departments.
