India to have corporate governance policy soon

Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India is on the verge of finalising the national policy on corporate governance. The Ministry setup a high level committee headed by industrialist, Adi Godrej to draft a policy document on corporate governance. The committee has suggested 10 to 15 major recommendations including those related to independent directors to look after corporate governance issues.


The ministry is actively considering the recommendations of the committee and will finalise the national policy on corporate governance soon, said Veerappa Moily, Minister of Corporate Affairs, Government of India.
