IT policy to focus on giving exports a fillip: J. Satyanarayana

J. Satyanarayana, the secretary of the department of electronics and information technology, has said in an interview that India’s policy will focus on giving IT exports a fillip by giving cash incentives and make the country attractive for foreign technology manufacturing firms to build factories.


J. Satyanarayana is also planning to make e-Governance projects more outcome based and increase awareness on cyber security.

On the subject of Mission Mode Projects (MMPs), Satyanarayana said that while there has been a good traction from the central MMPs, but the progress is not so attractive on the state MMP front.

He said that the department plans to give an outcome orientation to the MMPs. How many services have touched the citizens this month? It is the single criterion that will measure the success or the impact across the country.
