Technological support can be helpful in eradicating corruption to a great extent, Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala said today.

He added that mass movements or attacks on institutions cannot solve the problem corruption. Surjewala while participating in the panel discussion at the 9th India Today Conclave in New Delhi said , “Social norms, improvement in procedures and technological support can be helpful in eradicating corruption to a great extent, if not entirely. “Situation can be transformed with technological support. Along with citizen charter, connectivity through broadband, improvement in PDS, e-governance, e-payment and other measures can prove helpful.” Haryana was given the ‘Most Improved Large State’ award along with two other awards in the fields of education and health. The awards were conferred by Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee.
