The diverse land of India has diverse states. Since the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) was implemented in 2006, Indian states have tried to reap the benefits of electronic governance in their various spheres of activities. Some of the states took some great initiatives to bring smart governance into force. Grappling with their own unique set of problems and challenges, some of the states emerged as champions in the speedy implementation of e-Governance, while some others proved to be the promising front runners.
