Bartronics Asia Pvt. Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bartronics India Ltd has secured EPPU (Expenditure and Procurement Policies Unit) registration with a S10 (highest) grade from the Singapore Government. EPPU is a unit under finance ministry of Singapore Government and the highest grading by it will enable the company to qualify for bidding for projects worth over Singapore $30 million.

The highest financial registration from Singapore Government will bolster plans by Bartronics Asia Pvt. Ltd to actively pursue opportunities under the Intelligent Singapore 2015 Plan (iN2015 Master plan), the government's 10 year initiative for the growth of infocomm sector. According to estimates the infocomm industry is expected to contribute over Singapore $26 billion to the GDP under this programme.

In Singapore, business entities require to register with Expenditure & Procurement Policies Unit (EPPU) of the Ministry of Finance to participate in many tenders floated by the public sector.

Bartronics Asia, beginning with a turnover target of Singapore $15 million in the first year, intends to emerge into a fairly large size regional player in South Asia with a presence in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia and Australia within 3 years.

Bartronics offers solutions using radio frequency, biometrics, smart cards and barcodes technologies, which are finding increasing acceptance in security, access control, ticketing, tracking and cashless payment transaction applications.
