Symentac Corporation is all set to dedicate its annual event to the public sector and its partners to discuss issues related to the protection of information and infrastructure. This particular event, is expected to bring more than 500 government IT, security and business professionals to discuss different aspects of information protection.
The issues would include storage management, endpoint security, virtualisation and backup and recovery as they relate to the public sector.
The event which would be held on 31st July 2008 would be focused on key public sector issues like how trusted Internet connections can reduce the government's points of access from 1000 to 50 data centre consolidation and green IT.
The event will also witness discussions on how federal agencies can save up to US $ 13.9 billion each year through telework, besides launching the new national Cyber Security Initiative.
