The e-Procurement project of Andhra Pradesh (India) government has received the prestigious UN Public Service Award for 2007 for improving transparency, accountability and responsiveness in the public services.

The Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) had taken the initiative to nominate the e-Procurement Project http://www/eprocurement.Gov.in to the UN panel for this award. The selection of projects for the honors was a multi-stage process and finally an expert committee of the UN selected the winners.
