All 98 village panchayats in the union territory of Puducherry will come under the system of e-Governance after computerisation.
Three village panchayats would be chosen for a cash award for INR 0.5 million for best services in providing potable water, proper sanitation and solid waste management. Soon the government will launch an integrated solid waste management project in collaboration with the management of the Jawaharlal Nehru National urban renewal mission.
