Cisco Networking Academy Program provides IT skills to UK inmates

Europe's Cisco Networking Academy Program provides IT skills to prisoners of UK. More than 1000 prison inmates in the UK have passed through the Prisons ICT Academy Program (PICTA) in obtaining IT skills to help them in rehabilitating and finding jobs upon release.

 

Now 23 prisons in the UK use the latest technology to offer opportunities that lead to commercial, vocational and academic qualifications. PICTA helps to prepare inmates for the outside world. Prisoners are eligible for the program if they are willing to commit to the necessary assessments and study. Courses are modular and individuals can mix and match components to suit their interests. The main objective of the Cisco pragramme is to help to prepare inmates for the outside world.
