Smartlogic's technology will structure the external website content, boosting the accuracy and richness of online information services, therefore allowing citizens to search more quickly and in more depth across a number of different sites, including Bedfordshire County Council, Mid Beds District Council, South Beds District Council, Bedford Borough Council, Luton Borough Council and some of the NHS, police and fire sites in Bedfordshire. The Partnership is also likely to extend the same technology standards across intranet content for both the Mid Bedfordshire and South Bedfordshire authorities. The intranet forms a vital foundation for the future development of information management and can help the authority benefit from economies of scale, making this a commercially astute investment.
