Kharadi (India), the first SEZ to be online

Kharadi, Pune, India is becoming the first special economic zone (SEZ), which is going to be online. Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd (VSNL) is the first applicant, who entered into the first SEZ.

Kharadi, Pune, India is becoming the first special economic zone (SEZ), which is going to be online. Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd (VSNL) is the first applicant, who entered into the first SEZ.

 


According to the John Hayduk, Chief Technology Officer, Senior Vice-President, Operations, Engineering, VSNL International, the project would be located at EON Free Zone in the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) Knowledge Park in Kharadi. Currently, the EON free zones will cater up to 1000 people. Eaton is the second entrant into this facility and would be setting up the global engineering design center. VSNL has taken up 200 seats and Eaton 400 seats.
