Soon Indian Navy will set up high speed data network

Soon the Indian Navy will have a high-speed data network.

The high speed data network will connect to a secure server built on a 10G backbone linking them to headquarters as part of an initiative to take information technology to the defence services. Mumbai's Mazgaon Docks Limited is providing the high speed data network to Indian Navy. The local area networks will connect the ships to each other and naval headquarters. The IT firm CMC has bagged the naval contract to equip three warships being built by the MDL.
