Coimbatore, Coonoor in India withdraws from e-Auction

Tea auctions in Kochi would not take place in electronic mode on 5 December as the Accenture informed that the trade centres of Coimbatore and Coonoor have decided to withdraw their support from the e-Auction system. Both centres have withdrawn their support due to terms and conditions of the contract. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has funded the INR 30-crore e-Auction project.  The Ministry is agree to fund the project for next two years and afterwards the system will run from the revenue generated by the industry.
