The Computer Society of India (CSI), the largest society of tech professionals in the country, has short-listed seven states for the award including Karnataka, Uttaranchal, Delhi, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh and Himanchal Pradesh. According to Sunil Barnawal, Director of IT department, Jharkhand is the first state in the country to have connected with all government through an IT network for e-Governance.
