e-Government Strategy Released in New Zealand

In New Zealand, the State Service Ministry has launched the 2006 e-Government Strategy.

According to Annette King, State Services Minister, the strategy will reflect the fact that e-Government is giving more choices to people and allow them to interact with government in more convenient way. 2006 Strategy will introduce a goal by 2020, which defines that the interaction between government and people is increased by the use of network technologies. e-government is critical to the public management system of New Zealand. He suggested that all New Zealand's State Services agencies must use this strategy for e-Government initiatives.
