Mini ecnomic summit emphasises on ICT in national development of Niger delta

Marwa movement, the umbrella organisation of Dr. Mohamed Buba Marwa Presidential Organisation, rose from a mini-economic summit in Abuja, on July 19, deliberated on the importance of research and development (R&D) as well as of Information Computer Technology (ICT) in national development.

Marwa movement, the umbrella organisation of Dr. Mohamed Buba Marwa Presidential Organisation, rose from a mini-economic summit in Abuja, on July 19, deliberated on the importance of research and development (R&D) as well as of Information Computer Technology (ICT) in national development.

The summit, which was presided over by the PDP presidential aspirant, Dr. Mohamed Buba Marwa, reviewed the commendable performance of President Olusegun Obasanjo and charted the course for accelerated economic development under a Marwa Presidency in the short, medium and long term. It concluded that R&D and ICT would be given the pride of place in a Marwa Presidency. In a communique issued at the end of the deliberations, stable electricity supply, need for a peaceful, just and equitable resolution of the Niger Delta crisis and the security of lives and property nationwide topped the agenda along with other priority areas like free and qualitative education at primary and secondary schools levels, food security, provision of potable water in rural and urban centres, qualitative and affordable health care service, with resolve to intensify ongoing war against adulterated and fake drugs etc.
