e-Government initiative in Bandar Seri Begawan

Under the e-Government initiatives in Bandar Seri Begawan, ministries are now perusing the implementation of their agency services to help the public, said Minister of Communications Pehin Dato Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong.

 

The 3Es refer to e-Government, e-Education and c-Health, he said during a seminar, 'Driving The 3Es To Go Beyond Just Database', facilitated by Oracle and organised by TechnoNet Sdn Bhd. Government, education and health solutions experts highlighted ways in which e-Government adoption can improve citizen services, increase visibility and accountability in public sector finances, boost human resource management capabilities, and enhance public services for citizens. He expressed the need for local vendors to accelerate their learning curve in developing applications to serve e-Government initiatives through partnerships. TechnoNet Sdn Bhd said it is now an authorised partner of Oracle. TechnoNet said it is continuously looking for ways to enhance ICT solutions to deliver superior e-Government solutions.
