The Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Nigeria, Professor Maurice Iwu, has emphasised on the adoption of the Electronic Voting System (EVS) in the 2007 general elections.

He said that the electronic voting system would transform the electoral process. The workability of the system, which will involve actual voting has the advantage of producing credible, authentic and popular candidates that have the interest of the people at heart.
