e-Passports in Botswana
Addressing the issue of stolen passports and identity theft in the Botswana, the government is planning to introduce machine-readable passports shortly.
Bostwana Government’s e-Readiness
The Government of Botswana is in the early stages of a move towards e-Government. There is a central government website – www.gov.bw. There is currently no e-Government strategy in place, however the Ministry of Communications, Science and Technology is in the process of establishing an e-Government framework.
