Brookings Institution of Governance Studies has ranked South Korea at the 1st position out of 198 countries. Other highly ranked countries in the study are Taiwan, United States, Singapore, Canada, Australia, Germany and Ireland. Soon, every citizen in Brunei will be able to get e-Passport or biometric passport. The Department of National Registration and Immigration has officially launched e-Passport project in 2008.
