KAP Sinha appointed new Chief Secretary of Punjab

In a major administrative reshuffle, the Punjab government has appointed IAS officer KAP Sinha as the new Chief Secretary, replacing Anurag Verma. Sinha, a 1992-batch officer of the Punjab cadre, previously held the position of Special Chief Secretary in the Department of Revenue, Agriculture, and Water Conservation.


Verma, who Sinha supersedes in seniority, has been reassigned as Additional Chief Secretary in the departments of Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Horticulture, and Soil and Water Conservation.
