
In Punjab, the government has announced the transfer of two Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and five Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officers. Dhirendra Kumar Tiwari has been appointed as the principal secretary for water supply and sanitation, along with the additional responsibility of financial commissioner for rural development and panchayats. Tanu Kashyap has been appointed as the secretary for higher education and language. Several other officers have also been assigned new roles and responsibilities in different departments.
Meanwhile, the Gujarat government has made changes to its administrative setup as well. Two IAS officers have been transferred, and additional responsibilities have been given to three others. Manisha Chandra, who previously served as the Secretary for Finance, has been appointed as the Commissioner for Rural Development. K M Bhimjiyani, the Secretary for Cooperation, Animal Husbandry, Cow Breeding, and Fisheries, will now take over the Finance department. Additional charges have been assigned to A K Rakesh, the Additional Chief Secretary for Agriculture.
In addition, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has transferred two IAS officers and two IPS officers from Chandigarh. Yashpal Garg, an IAS officer serving as the Secretary for Health and Medical Education and Research, as well as the CEO of the Chandigarh Housing Board, has been transferred to Arunachal Pradesh. Vinod P Kavle, another IAS officer, has been shifted to Delhi from his current position as Secretary for Food and Supplies, Consumer Affairs and Legal Metrology, and Labour, Agriculture, Cooperation, and Sports.

Furthermore, the MHA ordered the transfer of Ajay Chagti from Arunachal Pradesh to Chandigarh and Hari Kallikkat from Andaman and Nicobar to Chandigarh. Two IPS officers, Deepak Purohit and Shruti Arora, were also transferred to Delhi and Ladakh, respectively. These changes aim to optimize administrative efficiency and ensure effective governance in the respective regions.
