Centre appoints Amit Verma, Director, NITI Aayog

The Department of Personnel and Traning (DoPT), Government of India, issued orders to appoint Amit Verma as Director NITI Aayog on February 21. Verma, an IFoS officer of 2005-Batch, will be holding the newly appointed charge for a tenure of five years.


As per the DoPT orders, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has given its approval to appoint Verma as Director, NITI Aayog under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of five years from the date of assuming the charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Amit Verma is currently serving as Director, Rajaji Tiger Reserve, Uttarakhand.
