The Government of Assam on May 15 nodded to a minor administrative reshuffle causing the transfer and posting of three IAS officers.
- Anurag Goel (IAS 1996-Batch) serving as Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department with the additional charge of Commissioner of Taxes has been relieved from the additional charge of Commissioner of Taxes.
- Rakesh Kumar (IAS 2005-Batch) has been relieved of his additional charge of Commissioner of Excise. Prior to new orders, Kumar is serving as Commissioner and Secretary, Fishery & Irrigation Departments and Commissioner of Excise in the additional capacity. He was substantively posted as Managing Director, Assam Power Distribution Company Limited.
- Rakesh Agarwala (IAS-Non-SCS 2009-Batch) has been transferred and appointed as Commissioner of Taxes. Also, he has been assigned the additional charge of Commissioner of Excise.
