As the Government of India has allowed air travel from May 25 and as many as 100 trains from June 1, the authorities in Noida are making efforts to ease hardships for people travelling. Gautam Budh Nagar Police, on Friday, said that those carrying a valid train or air ticket will be allowed to cross the Delhi Noida border for travel purpose. However, the border is sealed for people other than those travelling by air or train and have a valid ticket.
According to Ashutosh Dwivedi, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, the move has been taken keeping in mind the Centre’s orders to resume 100 trains and domestic flight services in the coming days and to facilitate the movement of travellers from Noida and Greater Noida.
Due to the rising cases of Coronavirus, the Delhi-Noida border was sealed last month. The movement of those working for the essential services and carrying a valid ID card or e-pass are allowed only. Hence, this move can benefit travellers who need to cross the border.
Following the allowance of domestic flights to operate, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has announced a detailed list of guidelines for air passengers, stating that only one-third of operations will be resumed. The guidelines added that no eatables will be allowed inside the aircraft and only one cabin bag and check-in baggage will be allowed per passenger.
Similarly, the Ministry of Railways has issued a set of guidelines following the announcement of the resumption of 100 trains from June 1.
