Narendra Kumar Sinha, a 1980 batch IAS officer of Bihar cadre, has been appointed as Secretary in the Culture Ministry. Earlier, he was working as Director, Food Processing, in the cadre.

He would be replacing Ravindra Singh, who is a 1979 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre and has retired on April 30, 2015.
