Jagjeet Singh Deswal, a 2008-batch IPS officer of Arunachal Pradesh-Goa -Mizoram-Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre, has been appointed as Private Secretary to Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. Deswal has been appointed to the post for five years or on coterminous basis with the tenure of the minister.
