NRB launches local govt information system in Punjab (India)

The National Reconstruction Bureau (NRB) has launched a National Reconstruction Information Management System in all districts of Punjab to monitor and support local governments.

The National Reconstruction Bureau (NRB) has launched a National Reconstruction Information Management System in all districts of Punjab to monitor and support local governments.

The system is an IT-based programme so as to develop the process of e-Governance at the district level. While speaking at the seminar, organised by NRB and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Punjab government, Chairman Daniyal Aziz stated that the system will be a powerful tool for good governance and a reliable source to get prompt and detailed information about the local government. The system was introduced in Toba Tek Singh and Narowal districts of Punjab to check feasibility and effectiveness of this IT-based system for the district administration.
