Professor K. Vijayraghavan has Bachelor of Technology degree in Chemical Engineering and Master of Technology degree in Bio-Medical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai
In recognition of his many contributions as a developmental geneticist and neuro-biologist Infosys awarded him with Life Sciences award in 2009.
