J&K to Computerise Revenue Department

The move is aimed at making revenue records easily accessible to public in real-time

Jammu: Offices at district and tehsil levels in Jammu and Kashmir would soon be modernised and a database will be created for making revenue records easily accessible to public.

“Revenue Department should fast track its computerisation and up gradation process to modernise functioning as part of e-Governance plan,” J&K Chief Secretary Madhav Lal said while chairing the periodic Committee of Secretaries (COS) meeting.

The meeting also discussed issues related to computerisation and digitisation of accounts in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
