It would help build the critical links missing in the railway network and evacuation from ports, mines, big industrial units and plants

New Delhi:  The Government of India has approved the Railway Ministry’s proposal to involve private sector for speedy execution of rail projects for boosting industrial development and enhancing freight traffic.

The Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure (CCI), headed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh approved the proposal from the Railway Ministry, sources said.


The policy would provide the much−needed impetus to building the critical links missing in the railway network and evacuation from ports, mines, big industrial units and plants, an official statement said.
