ICT is the most compelling challenge facing Africa's development in e-Governance.

While speaking at the meeting on ICT Best Practices held in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, the officials from the African Development Bank (AfDB) said there is lack of support for implementation and maintenance if a proper skill in ICT is hindering the development of ICT on the continent. The digital divide within urban and rural areas is blocking development. ADB intends to offer support for investment in ICT and provide a focus on infrastructural development for technological use.
