The Tea Board of India (TBI), which is working for tea e-Auction project has terminated its contract with Accenture, the consultant of the project.
TBI is working on an ambitious project to introduce state-of-the-art e-auctioning system in the country with consultant of Accenture. The board is hoping for new consultant by 2007 and introduces e-Auctioning system at Guwahati, Kolkata, Siliguri, Coimbatore, Cochin and Conoor centres by the middle of next year. e-Auction is also partially carried out in Coimbatore and Cochin. Now, traders can log on to www.indiateaportal.com to take part in the auctioning process.
