Goa to formulate plan for e-Governance

The government in the Indian state Goa would formulate a plan for e-Governance in the state through public-private-partnership.

The government in the Indian state Goa would formulate a plan for e-Governance in the state through public-private-partnership.

The overall objective is to significantly improve delivery of public services to the average citizen and increase speed, quality and transparency in government functioning at cutting edge. Given favourable indicators of literacy and education, Goa is well placed to take full advantage of the potential of Information Technology industry for bringing about quantum changes in the average citizen's life through e-Governance. The state government also intends to provide broadband connectivity by laying optical fibre cable in all the villages and also set up an Infotech Park.
