The Bihar government has carried out a major reshuffle of 23 IAS officers, bringing changes across district development administration, municipal corporations, sub-divisions and several state departments.
The orders issued by the General Administration Department include new postings for Deputy Development Commissioners (DDCs), Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs), Municipal Commissioners and departmental officers.
Shreya Shri Appointed Khagaria DDC
Shreya Shri has been posted as Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC), Khagaria.
The reshuffle also brings changes in several municipal corporations and district-level administrative posts.
Garima Lohia, who was serving as SDO, Barh, has been appointed Commissioner, Darbhanga Municipal Corporation.
Tushar Kumar, formerly SDO, Purnea, has been posted as DDC, Madhubani, while Anirudh Pandey, who was SDO, Danapur, has been appointed Commissioner, Purnea Municipal Corporation.
Several SDOs Moved to DDC Posts
A number of officers currently serving as SDOs have been given responsibilities as Deputy Development Commissioners.
The new assignments include:
- Anksha Anand – DDC, Sasaram
- Rohit Kardam – DDC, Kaimur
- Shipra Vijay Kumar Chaudhary – DDC, Jamui
- Neha Kumari – DDC, Katihar
Anksha Anand was earlier serving as SDO, Muzaffarpur West, while Rohit Kardam was SDO, Navagachiya. Shipra Vijay Kumar Chaudhary was SDO, Ara Sadar, and Neha Kumari was SDO, Sasaram.
Officers Given Departmental Responsibilities
The reshuffle also moves some officers from field administration to specialised departmental assignments.
Pradmyun Singh Yadav, formerly SDO, Katihar, has been posted as Director, Directorate of Food Processing, Industries Department.
Anjali Sharma, who was serving as SDO, Areraj in East Champaran, has been appointed Director, Social Welfare Department.
Meanwhile, Krishnachandra Gupta, SDO, Bhagalpur, has been appointed Inspector General, Prohibition Products and Regulation Department.
New SDO for Danapur
Virupaksh Vikram Singh, who recently returned after completing training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, has been posted as SDO, Danapur.
Priya Rani has been appointed SDO, Sasaram.
Several New Sub-Divisional Postings
The government has also issued a series of new SDO appointments across Bihar.
The officers and their new assignments are:
- Krishna Joshi – SDO, Barh
- Prem Kumar – SDO, Haveli Kharagpur
- Syed Adil Mohsin – SDO, Madhaura
- Ajay Yadav – SDO, Ballia, Begusarai
- Suraj Kumar – SDO, Katihar
- Vignesh – Assistant to SDO, Purnea
- Jatin Kumar – SDO, Sherghati, Gaya
- K. Parikshit – SDO, Navagachiya
- Mahesh Kumar – SDO, Tarapur
- Kashish Bakshi – SDO, Patna City

The latest reshuffle covers a wide range of administrative responsibilities, from district development and municipal governance to subdivision-level administration and specialised departments.
